impact on our community and becoming stronger leaders!
Our Mission and Impact
Since 1987, Youth Resources has engaged over 145,134 young people in leadership and community service activities.
1,715 youth, ages 5-18, were directly involved in leadership and community service activities through the Youth Resources programs in the 2010-11 school year!
Our mission is to empower young people to take ownership of challenges they see in the community, devise action plans to address those issues, and implement service projects to improve life in the local community through their leadership. We strive to increase their awareness of others' needs and to encourage life-long civic responsibility.
Through Youth Resources, thousands of young people are establishing healthy lifelong habits; defining their career goals; gaining a better appreciation for their academic work; and developing a spirit of generously giving their time, talents, and treasures back to their community now – and into adulthood.
