Youth Coalition
Youth Resources' YOUTH COALITION unites leaders from business areas as well as church leaders, school teachers, administrators, youth and parents to educate the community about youth issues and work to strengthen service links and provision throughout Southwestern Indiana. The goals are to educate the community about youth issues and concerns, strengthen existing agencies, identify gaps in services, develop programs to fill those gaps, and encourage youth advocates.
Initiatives launched by the Youth Coalition include:
- Child Abuse Awareness Conference
- Peer Mediation Program
- 40 Development Assets survey
- Hall of Fame Banquet held each spring honoring outstanding youth and youth workers for their commitment to serving others in the community.
The Youth Coalition holds luncheons typically on the third Friday of each month throughout the school year at various locations. Membership is open to the community.
