Middle School TEENPOWER
Healthy teens powered by Vectren

Youth Resources' Middle School TEENPOWER Camp is a three-day summer conference held each June at the University of Southern Indiana. TEENPOWER is designed to strengthen intervention skills, increase alcohol, tobacco and drug prevention knowledge, provide positive adult role models, and build self-esteem and leadership skills. During the conference, participants attend workshops, hear national speakers, form friendships with youth of diverse backgrounds, and plan service projects aimed at preventing the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
All components of the conference are planned by a group of high school students who serve on the youth staff and meet from January to June to make TEENPOWER a life-changing experience for the participants.
Youth attend the conference as part of a team (2 males, 2 females, 1 adult advisor) from their school, church, or youth-serving organization. Individual registrations are also accepted. After camp each team is eligible for a $250 grant to implement an anti-drug, alcohol or tobacco project.
Information about TEENPOWER 2008 is currently available.
